The River’s Tale

In post-pandemic times of drastic climate change, when water resources are getting scarce, Europe is plagued by heat waves, business is business as usual, the arms industry is doing (again) too well.
Puszczykowo, a picturesque garden town (population 10,000), once a resort, is also struggling with climate change and, through lack of systemic solutions, with smog on a massive scale. For many years, it has been said that Wielkopolska is drying up. Nearby is the military airport in Krzesiny, jets have been cutting through the airspace over the Wielkopolska National Park with noise for years. Therefore, through flora, focusing on details, through the moment of stopping and through the poetry of Krystyna Miłobędzka, a poet from Puszczykowo, we draw attention to what is important in life and tell the story of the river, once alive, today serving as a background for the uncontrolled and unsustainable development of the urban fabric.
